You won’t feel a thing with sedation dentistry!
We know that going to the dentist can be a stressful experience. Many patients skip their regular checkups and maintain less than optimal oral health. We’re here to help! Our team will help you maintain excellent oral health without any anxiety by using sedation dentistry.
Key Benefits:
- Eliminate stress and anxiety
- Get the dental treatments you require
- Look forward to your next visit
Sedation Dentistry
Sedation dentistry is popular because most sedatives can be taken by mouth, meaning no injections, no anxiety and no pain. Most sedatives allow the patient to stay awake during the procedure. Nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation, for example, work to calm anxiety throughout the dental visit.
If dental anxiety is stopping you from scheduling a procedure, oral sedation may be the answer for you. At our dental office in Liberty Village, Toronto, we will prescribe you a pill for relaxation purposes, to be taken before your procedure. The effects, which include sleepiness and a general sense of calm, will last several hours, allowing you to get the dental care you need. We do require you to have a driver when opting for oral sedation.
Anxiety-Free Dentistry for Adults and Children!
Nitrous oxide sedation transforms adults and children filled with anxieties from dental treatment into comfortable, relaxed and responsive patients. This allows us to make the most efficient use of chair time to complete treatment and leave you feeling completely positive about your dental treatment experience. Nitrous oxide is simply a gas which you breathe in through a mask that is placed over your nose. It is tasteless, odourless and instantly reversible. It can be used selectively to make anaesthetic more manageable or for the duration of your appointment. You will be awake and alert – you simply won’t feel any anxiety or pain!
Inhalation sedation may be helpful for:
- fear of pain, office noises, injections, dentists
- strong gag reflex
- pre-existing or generalized anxiety
We’re always available to provide you with quality dental care that fits your dental needs and your lifestyle. For dental questions, concerns or dental emergencies, call us at 416-533-3323 or book an appointment today.
