We’ll help you restore your teeth to their original strength, functionality, and aesthetic with inlays and onlays!
When more than half of your tooth’s biting surface is damaged, a porcelain, gold, or composite resin inlay or onlay may be recommended. At Liberty Village Dental, we use dental inlay or onlay treatments depending on the case. Our exceptional dental professionals will recommend the suitable treatment plan for you.
A dental inlay, which is similar to a filling, is used inside the cusp tips of the tooth.
A dental onlay is a more substantial reconstruction, similar to the inlay but extending out over one or more of the cusps of the tooth.
The inlay or onlay pieces are bonded to the damaged, but thoroughly cleaned area of the tooth. Porcelain is the material of choice due to its color and strength, which matches the natural color of your teeth. In some cases, where the damage to the tooth is not extensive enough to merit an entire crown, onlays provide a very good alternative.
We’re always available to provide you with quality dental care that fits your dental needs and your lifestyle. For dental questions, concerns or dental emergencies, call us at 416-533-3323 or book an appointment today.
